The CTM tool changer system with rotary magazine is a device expressly designed and manufactured to change the tool automatically in tool machinery.
It consists of a rotary magazine, i.e. a disk provided with tool holding pockets that can be pivoted 90° by means of a pneumatic cylinder.
When the magazine pocket is in the exchange position, the gripper double arm simultaneously takes that tool and the tool in the spindle, and by means of a vertical extraction stroke and a rotation, collects it from the rotary magazine and exchanges its position with the one collected from by the machine spindle.
The cycle of this device is carried out through the synchronized combination of the movements of the gripper arm attached to the toolchanger output shaft which is activated by one rotation of the input shaft.
