The video shows a typical application of rotary indexing tables. The rotation of the dial plate, which transports parts from one workstation to another, is achieved using a RIG series rotary table. The primary rotational movement for loading/unloading parts from the machine dial is instead performed by an IR series rotary table. This setup features a reversal of the cam's rotation direction at each cycle, thereby avoiding the use of rotary air unions and simplifying the overall plant layout.

Both tables are appropriately controlled in a start/stop mode to minimize transfer times between stations for the RIG unit and loading/unloading times for the IR unit.
